We have a fast pace, high-pressure environment. We live by the rules of Work hard and play hard. The following help us relieve our stress:
The company offers TMC fun days where different departments sponsor events for the entire company. These events have included casino night, Hawaiian luau, or simply taking all of the employees to the movies. We have dinners at nice restaurants-the last one was in a wine cellar.
Many of our meetings are not simply business meetings but also opportunities to unload and blow off steam. Oftentimes, they are catered and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Our favorite is the impromptu putting contest. We have several putters and lots of golf balls around the office and putting for dollars has been quite popular. Throughout the years, we have developed many obstacle courses around the office.
Once we had a longest drive contest from a small piece of grass behind our offices to the railroad tracks. The CEO of our company actually hit his Lexus with a golf ball, which provided great stress relief for all of the other employees.
Our company also sponsored a golf tournament amongst the sales reps and orthotists in which the winning team received a day off work with pay.
